The Cambridge MK14 (Microcomputer Kit 14) was a computer kit, with a SC/MP CPU, sold by Science of Cambridge, first introduced in 1977.  The price was very low for a complete computer system at the time and Science of Cambridge eventually sold over fifteen thousand kits.

Nowadays the MK14 is difficult to get hold of because there are not many original MK14 computer which survived after all these years. Prices are very high for a working Cambridge MK14.

So here we introduce a simple building kit to make your own MK14 in a PIC where the SC/MP CPU is emulated in a PIC. The circuit design and the programming was done by the late Karen Orton. We have designed a PCB for this design and can offer this for a low price building kit complete with all the needed parts and the pogrammed PIC.

Now you can try to program the MK14 yourself in machine language and learn how this was done in the old days.
